4011A cardioids are exceptionally linear in their frequency response ?? also off axis, giving you the natural experience. They handle extremely high SPL and will therefore allow for close placement and are often used for piano recordings with a placement closer to the hammers or as overheads for drums. The DPA ST4011A is a complete DPA 4011A Stereo Pair with two carefully factory-matched first order cardioid microphones. Even though the standard tolerances on DPA Reference Standards are extremely low, a stereo match is even closer. The specially selected DPA 4011A microphones are matched within ±1 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity. The foam design in the heavy-duty transportation box allows for fast and easy exchange of microphone/accessory inlay. Included in this kit are two carefully matched 4011A cardioid microphones, a sturdy Peli case, holders, and windscreens.
